Your body mass index is important, not your weight. The body mass index is calculated by dividing your weight by the square of your height in meters.

The age range between 18 and 65 is appropriate for this surgery. However, if the necessary permissions are obtained, people over 65 years old may also have this surgery. If it is absolutely necessary, the 16-17 age group may have the surgery as well.

You need to stay at the hospital for 4 nights.

In the first nine months after gastric sleeve surgery, only a stomach protector and multivitamins must be taken. After nine months, these medications will be discontinued. So, there is no lifetime medication use.

If you work in the office environment, you can start working 1 week after the surgery.

Pregnancy is recommended after minimum one year of gastric sleeve surgery. Pregnancy can be considered after weight loss stops and the body stabilizes itself. Otherwise, growth retardation may occur in the child.
